The Nichols Arboretum
Graduation is impending. The most concerning possibility, for me, is, there is none other place quite like the Arb. What am I going to do without the Arb?? This possibility is seriously depressing. Where else can I go for a walk with a prairie, a creek, a forest, a corn field, plus a climbing hill?
The Road to Hell
This path is magically walkable all year around -- even when snow storm or frozen ice engulfs the smaller trails.

The Arb is natural for all levels of exercises… Even if you just want to find a place to sit.
My first exposure to the Republic happens at this spot in the September of 2021, thanks to whoever donates that bench and the forests behind that covers for me when I peed.
I love watching the sky growing pink at dusk.
